What would be a good camera for a college Photography Course?

Hello. I have been looking at which college course I would like to do when I go there. I am currently in year 10, so I have the rest of this year and year 11 before I go.

Are you going to need film, or Digital?

Any of the entry-level bodies from Canon or Nikon should be enough.
